Family-owned private estate in Mid Wales
Pricing
Van Goff is priced for 2 people from £95 per night. All bed linen and towels supplied. You may bring your own pillows against possible Covid infection from previous guests if you want to.
There is also room for up to two children or one adult sleeping on single mattresses, (the daytime seating). The cost for extra people is £15 per person per night. All extra people will need to bring their own bedding (sleeping bags), pillows and towels. There is enough space for a baby under 2 years in their own travel cot at no extra charge, but we do ask politely that you make provision to remove all nappies at the end of your stay. In Van Goff we can usually accommodate a 5th person, please call to discuss. Owing to the abundance of sheep and lambs in the fields we are very sorry but we can NOT allow dogs, however well behaved.
Van Goff is perched next to it’s own spacious raised deck, situated in unbeatable solitude in the corner of woodland over looking glorious views with gorgeous sunsets.
With a bit of imagination, make do and mend, up-cycling old bits and pieces and a lot of love we’ve brought this old vintage 1970’s caravan back to life. Making use of many original features, and adding a wood burning stove, it’s now almost completely ‘off grid’ with solar powered LED lighting, gas cooker and hot running water with a shower and flushing loo. There’s even a small fridge … what luxury!
The real luxury bit is that after listening to our guests’ feedback we now have a small heater in the bedroom that keeps it toasty in the colder months, and an electric blanket for colder months. There is one charging point for devices should you need it, for peace of mind.
As the sun goes down, light up the hurricane lanterns, spark up the chiminea for a barbecue, (one bag of charcoal supplied) or even make a pizza in the new Ooni pizza oven and relax under the stars. We supply enough pellets for one cooking session, (a couple of pizzas), but you can purchase more if needed.
There is a double sofa bed that converts into table and benches when it’s as bit cold outside.
We encourage our guests to conserve water, use less plastic where possible and recycle as much as they can during their stay. The delicious spring fed drinking water is filtered so please resist the urge to bring plastic water bottles, thank you 🙂
There is now an EV charging point at the house for the convenience of EV owners.
